About Foyle Gas
Foyle Gas has supplied bottled gas from Springtown Road since 1995. Behind it is a family that has been in fuel on this coast since 1952.
Three generations
In 1952, Charles Kelly started the Inishowen Oil Company in Carndonagh, delivering heating oil across the peninsula. In 1980 the family added a gas division — Inishowen Gas, later the Northwest Gas Company — supplying bottled and bulk LPG across Donegal.
In November 1995 the family opened on the Derry side of the border as Foyle Gas, working out of the depot at 23 Springtown Road.
Today the businesses are run by Charles's grandsons, Conor and Mark Kelly — the third generation of the family in fuel.
What that means when you ring us
You get someone who knows the difference between a propane bottle and a patio bottle without having to look it up, and who knows the roads they're delivering on.
We supply households, caravans and workshops across Derry, along with restaurants, takeaways and coffee shops that need gas on and staying on. Cylinders run from 5kg up to 47kg, in propane, butane and patio gas.
Free delivery to BT47 and BT48, usually within 24 hours. Collection from the depot on Springtown Road.
The other two
South of the border, the same family runs the Inishowen Oil Company for home heating oil and Northwest Gas Company for LPG across Donegal. If you're moving, or you need supply on the other side of the border, we'll point you to the right one.
